To control the shutter in the M7, you need to have ( in this day and age) a
uP.. it may be not too fancy, but it is  in there some place.....

I do believe there is some digital in the M7, simply because it displays the
shutter speed using 7 segment LEDs, and typically, those are driven
digitally.
