I can say from personal experience that the Nikon is no match for the
Noctilux at any aperture, the Nikon has much higher flare levels, is
somewhat soft in the center wide open especially compared to the Noctilux,
and does not have the same level of contrast.

What is interesting is that I have one of Nikon's CRT lenses and it is
outstanding, especially in close ranges.

But, the Nikon is much less expensive.
