Ernie

If it gets damaged or run over by a truck, then turn it in to your
insurance company and get it replaced. All you have to do is make sure
your home/Apartment owners insurance covers your valuables - Most do. You
can have it specifically cover for replacement cost and there is no
problem. I have had to use mine several times due to lightning damage to
my ham radio equipment and other household appliances. It also covers your
cameras and jewelry when away from the house. Worrying about damaging this
stuff is a waste of time and effort. Go out and use it, you will feel a
whole lot better, and you bring joy to those who get to see your work.

Have fun
Gene

Kit - for me sometimes I break out in a cold sweat thinking - " If I
drop this rig and it's run over by a Mack truck that's $5000 !" But
I'm getting better. Went out with the M6 with TriElmar yesterday and
had a good time - took some interesting images. My answer to this
paranoia is to have enough backup cameras so that a trip to the repair
station is not worth agonizing over.
