Although I generally like skies with heavy clouds (on photographs, at 
least), I like the cloudless sky in this picture, it makes it well 
balanced in my opinion. There is so much detail and atmosphere in the 
picture that a calm corner is just right. More, one way or the other, 
would be overkill.

I also like Kip's approach: one person, one camera, one lens  -  but 
many varied subjects. I would like some more technical details though.
