[Leica] Leica DSLR

So there is a rumor of Leica DSLR based on the R9 or digital back for the 
R9. Regardless whether it is true or not, is it more technically difficult 
(or impossible?) to do one based on the Ms?

Of course, if the rumor is true, this would make the first non-autofocus 
DSLR, no?
