Subject: [Leica] Teaching with a Leica

Daniel,
Since we are on the topic of teaching....how about learning?
I think it is the responsibility of "any" "good" teacher to bring the path to the student and not
just walk the pupil through the rough edges. I am a firm believe taking the student through
the burning fire but giving them the tools...let me repeat...giving them the tools that will
guide the student through the experiences that will inevitably teach them. I do not spoon
feed anybody. That is not my way of teaching.
The way I learnt photography was by making mistakes andby doing it the wrong way. I
was able to appreciate so much about photography by going the whole copurse and
doubling back..sometimes missing the answer right under my nose.
The day I learnt "reciprocity"..I felt like I was armed and ready for any situation, however it
took a long time for me to understand that the mistakes I was making was directly linked to
this ( ? ) that I knew nothing about..did not even knew it existed.
The women in the pictures show their sense of detachment from what they are soemtimes
forced to do rto make a living...that should have triggered off further questions.....the fact
that you did not ask you those questions could mean that you did not see their
detachment or you viewed my pics with your own agenda:-0
I have 20 pics to show at the ICP on April 4. These have a longer story board. Remember
also, I shot these images in only four days. It took a lot of work just to get access..but that
is another lesson:-)
I cannot tell you to drink..I can only provide the beverage.
I am not saying that here I have provided the single picture that explains the whole..what i
have shown you is a sample of a series I just started.
I guess I am teaching patience here:-)

Thanks for the heads up though:-)
Ruddy
