If the LA Times guy had "PhotoShopped" a herd of elephants in and the picture was run under a headline "Hannibal Hussein moves the 43rd Pachyderm Regiment to the front" that would obviously be unacceptable but it seems a little unfair to me to expect such high standards from press photographers.
