Acctually, I bought Leica M6 (valued 2000$ by the seller (one owner
only, it was "used but unused"... 20-30 rolls of film - no marks at the
camera at all, even the plastic protection layer underneath was on, and
also including original packaging and guarantee papers, dustcover and M6
grip.
The 50mm/2 DR summicron lens (from 1958) (with near-focus viewer) and
the 90mm/2.8 Elmarit (from 1978), a Vivitar 2800 blitz, a "Leica M6 to
M(3?)" and 4 filters was together valued 280$ by the seller.
Nice to hear that the 50mm alone is valued more than 500$ although I
have no intention to sell it.

$220 huh? I guess a working 50mm DR Summicron is worth that. :) In
sharpness
terms, the DR Summicron is just as sharp as the newer Summicrons. The
contrast will be less compared to newer glass, but I myself prefer less
contrast, more sharpness. The debate over Summicrons could last for
centuries.
Value for a clean DR w/eyes is around $500 and up, depending on
condition.
Great deal on the 90/2.8 also, one of the most under rated lenses in the
Leica family.
