Pardon me, but bullshit. Because bullshit is bullshit, and no amount of
fabulous printing will turn it into anything but fabulously well
printed....bullshit.;-)

Can a master printer save a poorly exposed, but well composed image with
an interesting, or important subject? Absolutely. But can God's own
master printer turn bullshit into Cartier Bresson? No way.
Unfortunately, however, there are allot of people out there who look at
a photograph, and if it is beautifully printed, they proclaim it an
outstanding photograph.

Thing is in a way nothing has changed because in the analog world there
is such a thing as master printers, I just might be one who can take a
boring poorly exposed and developed negative of poorly chosen subject
matter with sub standard Compostion and make such an excellent print
from it on fiber paper; Amidol, split printing, selenium toning to
perfection. If one shoots in larger and larger formats especially when
one hits the sheet film area it becomes less and less important how high
the general level of vision there is. One can shoot road kill and from a
5x7 neg make a print that would blow away something shot with a 90
Summicron Asph apo on Neopan Across in Beutlers of Adriana Lima taken
during the decisive moment with on the edge Compostion (head cut off).

Saved in the printing.

With these Photoshop masters though i think of the pinball wizard
sitting in a 5th grade classrrom in front of the Mac on his Desk....

He's a pinball wizard
There's got to be a twist
A pinball wizard
He's got such a supple wrist

How do you think he does it?
(I don't know)
What makes him so good?

He ain't got no distractions
Can't hear those buzzers and bells
Don't see lights a flashin'
Plays by sense of smell
Always gets a replay
Never tilts at all
That deaf, dumb and blind kid
Sure plays a mean pinball

I thought I was
The Bally table king
But I just handed
My pinball crown to him

Even on my usual table
He can beat my best
His disciples lead him in
And he just does the rest
He's got crazy flipper fingers
Never seen him fall
That deaf, dumb and blind kid
Sure plays a mean pinball

(replace pinball with photoshop)
