Christian,
The 21 SA ia a fabulous lens. It is sharper than the 21 2.8 Elmarit. It
has virtually no distortion. However, it was designed in the fifties and is
not multicoated. Therefore, it is not as contrasty or flare resistant as
the latest 21 ASPH. It is also not especially usable at 3.4, really, it
should be used beyond F4 for good results. Also, unless you get a grinder
out, it will not meter with any of the current M's.

The price you quoted is twice the price for the C/V 21 F4 which has a good
reputation. So, if the 21 focal length is not your main lens, or you need
in camera metering then I would suggest the C/V lens. If you want a
stunning lens with no distortion that focuses down to about 8" then the 21
SA is for you.
