This is a very useable kit for times when you want to walk about without carrying several bodies. You know, a body on the neck with a 24ish lens, carrying a 50 and a 135 in a pocket or a small Domke, you can cover a lot of ground without a lot of weight. In the SLR world when I want modern Japanese a 200mm with a 1.4 and a 2X gives me a 200, 280, 400, and 560 without a lot of weight. And yes, in one system you can stack teleconverters as the 2X is designed to mount the 1.4. It is not too bad at 560 F8 although it should really be considered a 560 F11 for decent results.
