I have the 50 Nokton f1.5. It's amazingly sharp, with excellent
contrast. Colors really pop. Web reviews describe "horrible bokeh".
I've never noticed it. It's certainly no 4th generation 35mm
Summicron, but neither are any of my newer aspheric Leica lenses.I
guess I'm not a true "bokeh" freak. The construction is pretty good,
but the paint sheds like a snake skin. When I first got the lens I
dropped it into a (clean) jacket pocket and went for a walk to test
the lens. It lost 3 large chips of paint in a 1/2 mile walk, BEFORE
the first time I used it. I was not going to be able to return the
lens if I didn't like it, but after I saw the pictures, I never
wanted to let go of it. One advantage it has is that it uses 52mm
filters, so, coming from the Nikon world I had all the filters I
wanted, and any more are plentiful and cheap.
