Cause skintones are +1 over middle gray, which according to me would is what
the camera returns if metering of a caucasian person. Since the area of
metering is often larger then the person I shoot I set it to +1/2 stop
rather then +1 stop. This to account for darker then skintone hair like my
wife and daughters have.
