Jon,

Ashland has splendid restaurants. One of them is a first rate vegetarian 
place. It's very scenic, with a touch of desert at one end and skiiable mountains 
at the other. The Plaza motel is brand new and its rooms overlook downtown 
Ashland, so you don't need a car after you arrive. And if you're a Shakespeare 
buff with a credit card, you're bound to see good living theater. Ashland has an 
organic supermarket that has no equal anywhere, I think. It's not far from 
the RR tracks. 

My Leica CL just eats the place up.
