It's a very good all-purpose lens.  That and the 50/1.4 are the only Canon 
lenses I have.  I'm using R lenses for everything else.  I just need a 
really wide one now since the 19R won't fit on the Canon.

If you are interested in the 24-70/2.8, be sure and try one out first.  I 
had never seen one when I ordered it and was really surprised at the size!
