Rick -

The R lenses that I am using on the Canon 10D are the 60 Macro, 100 Macro,
85/1.4, the 400 and the 500. Of course, the autofocus doesn't work, but
I've had no problem at all focusing through the viewfinder. I'm usually
using the aperture or shutter speed priority, depending on what I'm
shooting. It's really easy to adjust. The only adapter I know about is
the Novoflex. I have two of them. They are a little difficult to get on
and off so I prefer to put them on the two lenses that I think I'll be
using and just leave them there. As far as flash goes, that's one of the
great things about digital! I'm using a couple of the Metz flashes. I'd
have to go downstairs to find out the models, but it's not really
important. With digital, you take flash shot and look at it. If it's not
right, you adjust something and take it over! It's not like flash
photography is decisive moment or anything. I love being able to see the
results and adjust.

I'm sure the same thing is true with using the R lenses. If I couldn't
look at the results immediately and adjust, I'd never try to use manual
focus lenses on a camera designed for automatic focus. But they work
great! I love the results I get with the R lenses on the 10D. One of
these days I'll get around to posting some, but I just finished one big
project and am headed for another one. I have no regrets about getting the
10D and using the R lenses on it.

Hope this helps.

Tina
