A friend of mine who makes big bucks did more than once and he wasn't
being particularly original when he did it. The art directors are ready
for it and often recommend them. Anything for a different look.
I say put old LTM glass on your cameras and shoot with that. The results
will usually be very esoteric due to whale blubber effect.

Or get the Adobe Whale Blubber filter plug-in (AWB) which has a known
algorithm which is quite similar!
