Sofia Zutautas, Assistant Curator of Exhibitions, Chicago Department of
Cultural Affairs, will lead a gallery talk of Sebasti“o Salgado -
Migrations: Humanity in Transition and The Children at 12:15 p.m. in the
fourth floor lobby. This fascinating collection of approximately 300
black-and-white photographs by Sebasti“o Salgado, taken in over 35
countries, documents the astounding phenomenon of mass migration.

Also on Thursday at 6 p.m. in the 5th Floor Meeting Room of the Gallery
37 Center for the Arts, 66 E. Randolph St., there will be an Artist at
Work Forum, Site Construction: Artists and the Internet. Back by popular
demand, this follow-up to PROMO: Artists and the Internet will feature
step-by-step descriptions of how artists can use the Internet to promote
themselves and their work. Panelists include Tom Lynch of Interactive
Media Partners and Sonja Kruitwagen of Woman Made Gallery. Barbara
Koenen, Project Manager in the Cultural Planning Division of the
Department of Cultural Affairs, moderates.
