AMEN!!!! Watching long pauses where nothing is happening is much worse 
than the fact that at least with slides, they move on relatively 
quickly.

Apple has done the world a great service with iMovie. They made it easy 
to edit video so at least the dead spots can be cut out so the pain is 
at least diminished!

That and their shaming PC makers to at least try to match (very badly 
so far) iMovie with a PC equivalent. So now PC users can also cut the 
crap out of their videos and shorten the pain they inflict on family, 
friends and neighbors.
