Thanks, Tim, for an interesting post.

This month's issue of FOREIGN AFFAIRS includes the unedited text of a talk
given by Allen Dulles to US Occupation folks from Germany in December,
1945.  Those interested should read it, as there are significant parallels
with the current situation in Iraq, albet there are also significant
differences.
