Well with the DIGILUX 1 that's out now the Panasonic software in the
Panasonic is no good it's got way too much unsharp mask built into it
that you can't override. Artifact rich images. Great for archeological digs!
So its worth it to get the DIGILUX instead of the Panasonic.
I bet Panasonic wont make that mistake again.
Leica might have been in charge of the writing of their own software for
their version of the camera. So in a sense in a basic way it really is a
Leica. They used wooded mallets to help write the early software. That's
a known fact. Some of those yes's did not fit in with the nose.
