Add writers to that group. It has been my experience that many folks
consider themselves writers, not least among them college juniors enrolled
in remedial expository writing courses! ;-)

Ted,

This is just another case where the photographer is made
irrelevant.

I cannot think of many other professions with such a
low public recognition that everybody thinks that they
can do the job.
