Yes.  However, with the Winder-R, the unit will quite when the counter hits 
36.  If you have a shorter roll, the winder will bind and then blow it's 
circuit breaker.  You re-set the breaker by pressing the lever (marked 
Winder-R) what releases the battery pack, then push the pack back in. It's 
that simple!

I had the winder-R for years, using it on both my R5 & R6 with great success.
