It will appear in November, 2004. 2. It will cost $987.50 3. October, December and February will not have correct dates. At first, Leica will claim that users need to have a vision check; later, they will quietly add the dates back after a two-month turnaround. They will not tell anyone which calendars have this problem, but collectors will let each other know via the internet and e-mail. 4. It will not be compatible with any other calendar in your house. It certainly won't synch with your Palm, Blackberry, or computer. 5. A Japanese version will be printed on 45 year old paper, with genuine certified Wetzlar coffee stains on the back. 6. The little hole at the top won't fit any nail or thumbtack in your toolbox. Leica will sell a special calendar thumbtack for $127.50 7. The calendar pictures will be really, really boring. 8. A significant number of Leica fans will say that the old Julian calendar was much better. ...AND FOR JOSEPH YAO... 8. Leica will goof and only make 14 of these calendars. They will not give anyone a straight answer on how to find them.
