Scissors geekery; it somehow seems so fitting here!

Kyocera, by the way, makes ceramic-bladed scissors.
Saw these in a number of places in Japan, including,
IIRC, Tokyu Hands. Sharper Image used to sell
something similar, but theirs was kind of crappy for
cutting negs.

In the movie biz editorial people use a pair of short,
rear hinged
scissors.
They are much easier to 'aim' than a regular pair.

You could try Cristy's in Burbank, California.
