Subject: RE: [Leica] M5 CLA and meter adjustment for enviro-friendly batteries

Buy a nice box of chocolates and send it to Don.

It worked wonders for me.

I got my M5 back in 3 months - which I think was one month earlier than
he said. I suppose 3 months from now might be close to summer (although
at -25 deg C a couple days ago, I wouldn't believe it).

Realistically, if we all recommend only 3 Leica repairers for this
entire LUG user group, imagine how swamped they get. You forgot to
mention Reinhold Meuller - he is in Toronto with Gerry Smith, and
Reinhold once headed the Leica repair facility for Leica Canada. He
does incredible work too.

regards,
Vick

LOL! I know the feeling. The local camera repair guy in town has had a
Voigtlander lens of mine since October, 2002. That's only 16 months. I
hope he fixes it before he dies (he appears to be in his 60's)

Hope you don't need it back before summer.

I've got it packed and ready to go do DAG. Thanks, y'all!
