Richard,
I'm writing this from Chester County Hospital. Vicki found me lying on
the floor next to my computer and had me rushed there. Luckily she was
already at the hospital when she found out what brought on my attack and
they were able to tend to her promptly. You see when I woke up she was
standing there and the when the doctor asked if I had any idea what caused
the problem I told him that you were giving up Leica for Canon digital, she
heard that and being equally shocked, hit the floor like a sack of bricks.
I mean, it was one thing when I got the Fuji S2, BUT YOU? MR LEICA? My
word.
Sorry, my friend, couldn't resist :-> I will admit to being surprised
though. I would have thought you would have a NRA type bumper sticker about
prying Leicas from your cold dead hands......
Are you getting the Rebel or the full frame model? Nice that you can use
your R lenses on the Canon body. There are times when I consider the switch
since Nikon seems to be falling farther behind but just can't take the
plunge.
I'm comfortable that you will enjoy the twist to your passion.
By the way, if you need a place to store your Leica gear while making up
your mind about what to do with it, I'm sure Ms Vicki and I can make room
for it.
