Something like that, Tim.

My daughters digital has a focal length somewhere down there in 5mm - ?
(not much) with autofocus.

With autofocus? I ask myself. Why bother focusing?

But evidently it's connected to the size of the take-up media (sensor,
film etc).

All I know that it is hard enough focusing with a 35mm in an SLR
(manually). It gets harder every year. :)
