Guys-
Okay- I stand corrected! I tend to forget that some folks use really long
lenses, even with an M.
I don't know if it's the proper way- but I tend to use more or less a zone
focus approach... then again, I don't shoot anything longer than 135mm, and
most things I do are at about f5,6 to f11- so it usually is a matter of just
being in the ballpark.
Sometimes though, DOF is more than you want! I have shot portraits with a 90
Elmarit-R, and had to shoot wide open just to get the background out of
focus so it wouldn't be obtrusive!
I imagine that if I ever get a 400mm Telyt for my Viso, I'll have to start
worrying about those things!
