Maybe it's because I was a steady customer I was treated a little more kindly? I bought a lot of used gear there and on occasion returned it...no questions asked. Never been to NYC but have bought lots of film from BH and I've had pleasant dealings with Kurland. Camera World in Portland used to be nice until Wolf bought them out...now it's at a K-Mart level. Oh yes!! In Chicago, Central Camera...the folks are great...family owned for 100 years.
