While what you said is true, have you seen any truly BAD image quality from 
cameras with 6 Megapixel APS C sensors? Especially this seems to be the 
Sony one used in the Nikon D70/D100, according to the spec?

Even the skewed rays of light argument should not be a problem since mainly 
only the center portion of the lens is used.
