Subject: [Leica] Manufacturing Changes...

Doug Herr responded to Leicajay saying:

>What you're describing is a very "manufacturing" thing regardless of type
>of product. Sometimes the parts are visible, such as the variations in
>the Nikon F's film-advance lever (3 I know of), sometimes it's a hidden
>like the revised circuit board for the heater/defroster controls in the VW
>I had in college.

Take note, guys. Every company does this sort of thing. And every one of
'em has a small line at the bottom or each brochure that says
"Specifications subject to change without notice".

I spent 30 years in electronics, and saw this sort of thing ALL the time.
And never saw a brochure without the disclaimer.
