Tina,

I recently had problems with a hard drive and tried about 5 different photo
recovery programs. The one I found best was http://www.photosrecovery.com/
Hope this helps. Some made more of a mess than when I started.

LUG:

I hate computer problems! I've been working on this one for three days
now. I bought a new Lacie 400GB external hard drive to go along with the
Lacie 125GB hard drive that I've had for a year which has given me no
problems. I installed the 400GB hard drive (firewire) with no problems and
moved all of my photo files onto it, intending to use it as a file for all
of my photos until I get around to burning them to CD's or DVD's. This
hard drive worked fine until I rebooted my computer and the drive refused
to show up. I finally made it appear by going to My Computer and Manage
Disks; but, in order to access or use the drive, the computer says that I
have to reformat it. That means that all of the files that I have on that
hard drive would be erased. I have most of them on CD's or DVD's as
back-up; however, when I run the disk recovery programs that I have
(Digital Image Recovery and Restorer), the only files that don't work are
the RAW files that I had downloaded and not converted. That is the only
source that I have for those. Any suggestions? I know, I should be using
TMax and an M7, but the Jobo could have failed, too!!

I'm leaving tomorrow to take photos in Kentucky and will be so glad to get
away from this computer!!

Tina

P.S. I know there are several of you that I owe answers to, but I've been
so frustrated with this computer, and it works so slowly when it's doing
disk recovery, that I'll have to get back to you later. Sorry!
