Have him put a piece of electrical tape over the film window on the back.
If that fixes it, then he can request the foam gasket for a few pennies and
fix it himself. or just leave the electrical tape over the window.

Hi all,

A friend of mine has a Leica R3 which has light leaking in resulting in a
vertical band towards one side of the frame. Is it possible to have that
fixed?
Any idea how much that will cost?

Can anyone recommend a dealer near the Toronto or London (Ontario) area
where the camera can be sent to?

Cheers,
Klaus
