Hi Tomasz,

My advice to Gene was based on my annual visits to Wroclaw (most
recently in January), a city of 700,000 people. I found that prices for
electronic equipment (e.g. computers, DVD players, TVs etc. at an outlet
like Media Markt) were roughly similar to those in Holland, or slightly
more. The same was true of cameras in the stores I visited. I did not
see a Leica in any of the Wroclaw shops; I imagine things are better in
Warsaw, but still nothing like the selection you have in Germany.

As for prices, the price for the M6+35mm Summicron you quote is
equivalent to 2565 EUR. Not a bad price, but nothing special either; I
can buy this outfit for that easily in the Netherlands or in Germany.
For example, yesterday I saw a new M7 for 1850 EUR in a shop window in
Amsterdam. The UK prices you mention are from the most expensive Leica
shop in London, they basically charge list price for everything. And the
UK is more expensive than the Continent to begin with.

Kind regards,
Nathan
