AFAIK the concept of limited editions stems for an age when the process of 
making the prints wears out the plates or other materials used to make the 
print.  After X number of prints the tools were sufficiently worn that 
additional prints wouldn't be up to par.  Since electrons don't wear out 
(they only get recycled), for those of us using some form of electronic 
printing the concept is now marketing more than anything else.
