Hurricane Isabel submerged my property under four feet of salt water last
September, and it's been a long year trying to recover--without much stomach
to make images. In the event, the magnolias in the front yard were
battered, but appear to have survived, though the blossoms are sparse. It's
been heartbreaking to pull up 60 year-old azaleas that are so much tinder
wood now.
