Good set, Don. If I were to pick one that I like best, it would be 5
(clear lady against background of rained on runners)

Every July 4th approximately 60,000 people line up at Lenox Mall to run
10K into Piedmont Park in Atlanta. At the front are usually ten or
twenty Kenyans, and toward the back are some fairly crazy people.
Interspersed in the mix are some pretty serious runners, dedicated to
finishing despite the pain. The first image this week is a very quick
grab, I heard this woman labored breath and spun back to catch her
struggling up the hill:

The second image is what I had been concentrating on. The runner knew
the man on the water line and had passed some pleasantries as he passed,
but then he spun back and said "Damn Bill Cosby". Obviously, continuing
a previous conversation:

Back down Cardiac Hill, some people just had more style going up the
hill:

Working my back up the hill, I noticed this gang taking a moment for
souvenir photos. This was still early mid pack so most of the runners
were serious.

Jumping in time a bit, toward the end of the pack, most are walking, but
some still have a bit left.

To give a better idea of the circumstances of the previous photo, this
is a wider view of more common behavior here:

Turning back to an earlier part of the day, this is one of three bands
that played during the race. Nobody organizes them, they just show up,
set up, and jam for three hours. The bus stop made a good band stand.

Last, is the first. This group you will recognize from the bullman
photo. They set up on the sidewalk at 6:00AM and this photo was taken
just at sunrise, which is about when the wheel chair racers spin by.

Hope you enjoyed the race. As always, comments always welcome.
