Subject: [Leica] OT: Contax T

Eric,

The 'gate' you describe is a swing away
film pressure plate, similar to the one in
a Rollei 35.  The back of the pressure plate in closed
position has a spring on it. The rails I am
asking about are on the inside of the camera
back, and it looks like they are supposed to
be in contact with the pressure plate spring
when the back is closed.

My question:  how bad is it if one of the rails is
missing,  even tough the camera is otherwise in good
shape? I assume the odds are slim that
I can find anyone to fix it.
