Scott,

Don't but the 2.8 if you can afford the 28 ASPH.
It is one of the best lenses Leica make. The way
it handles light is amazing and it is very sharp. It
is also maybe the best corrected lens for veiling
glare. There are no used ones because you would
have to pry it from their dead hands. NO ONE who
owns this lens doesn't love it. It is the contrasty light
king.
