Albrecht Speer spelled his name "Albrecht" until he was on trial at
Nuremburg, when it magically appeared as "Albert" and remained thus to his
death. I have accused those who detest Riefenstahl of political
correctness and of revising the historical record but Reichsminter Albrecht
was quite capable of the same and, indeed, did a fine job of it, dying a
"repentatant Nazi" much beloved in the West while he was actually the sort
of cold technocrat who has marked the regimes of say, Napoleon and Stalin,
and who often appears in the US political hierarchy -- Robert MacNamara
pops readily to mind.
