Playing with the Epson R-D1 yesterday, I do have to say the finder is
excellent. The unit I played with did not have the vertical
calibration problems of the pre-production model I handled last
month. The finder is 1.0x magnification and is gorgeous. The RF spot
is *almost* as good as a Leica M7/MP. The AE display is perhaps
*better* than the M7's.

But I'm finding that I really *don't* like the manual wind. It feels
flimsy and "gadgety." There's no good reason for it to be there.

Also, Epson uses non-standard icons for its menu buttons. This is a
royal pain and means you have to actually read the manual before
working it. Yuck.
