Oooooo...You are SUCH a trouble maker.
Having more than one of something doesn't make one a collector - I have
many coffee mugs, but I am not a collector of coffee mugs; I have more
than one pillow on my bed, but I am not a collector of pillows; I have
more than one pair of shoes, but I am not a collector of shoes. And I
have more than one Leica M, but I am most definitely NOT a collector of
Leicas.

A collector is someone who purchases something inorder to own it, rather
than use it. In fact, a collector may never use the things he or she
collects, while a user buys more than one of a particular thing because
he or she needs that thing to use it. (I own three M 6s so that I can
mount a different lens on each body and not have to take the time to
switch lenses while I'm shooting. Period.

I always say that most Leica shooters are collectors. A collector is
someone who has more than one of something. If you've only got one,
you're not a collector. I'd better stop before I get myself into trouble
here ...

Valid, but given the length of time you've been here, Neil, it's damn
hard to believe that it's a serious question... :-)

I still think it's a valid question Brian. I was just interested if
anyone here collected the things.

Neil

Remember that this is the Leica Users Group, not the Leica Collectors
