Not sure why you'd think not. 
When driving to the office, or the train station - I drive a 40mpg '93 
Saturn. 

When driving family and dog to spend weeks photographing water falls, while
camping in state parks with 8x10 and 12x20 cameras - da van.

When hauling lights, lightstands, backgrounds, models and props for a 
commercial
shoot - da van.

Right tool for the job. Right? B-)
