Nachtwey has the unique ability to go where many have gone before him
yet return with uniquely powerful images that put a situation in proper
perspective in a handful of images. Go look at his 9/11 portfolio -
which I contend is the single best body of work of that tragedy that
anyone produced.

Tremendous images of a tragic situation. The next time we spend money
on our
precious equipment let us all thank God that we were not born into a
life
where we have to winnow grain that we have scavenged to survive. I was
deeply
moved by James work.
