Dream on, Mark. Feature for feature, capability for capability, M3 v S3,
the S3 - as a body - would win hands down. But this is one on which
great minds will clearly NEVER agree! :-)
(My biggest single photo equipment regret is that I didn't ever own an
S3, and that I don't own one today. ;-) )

I think if you asked 1000 non emotional "experts" or some such which was
THE rangefinder camera. Was or IS.... 4 would say Contax. 3 would say
Nikon. 2 would say Canon. And 991 would say Leica.

The superiority of the Leica rangefinder system doesn't get a lot of
flack.
