Subject: [Leica] Recent Leica 90/2.8 - Seeking Comments and Advice

While my M &R  90/2.8 are not the current versions, they are both very 
nice, with the R lens being my favorite lens for portraits and flower 
photography.  Hardly BLAND by any definition.

Boy, I must be doing something wrong - I've always wanted the elements
that make up my image to have 'personality,' and wanted my lenses to be
'bland,' to simply transfer to capture medium what I saw before me. If I
want 'personality,' I can add it with any number of silly photoshop
filters. ;-)

I found the 90/2.8 current M & R lens to be bland.  Sharp yes, contrasty
yes, but no personality...
