The person you need to talk to is Fred Ward. Professional LEICA 
photographer (like Ted) and as an adjunct to his normal photo gigs, he 
photographs gemstones and has self published several gemstone books. He 
used to be a LUGger. He made the soft releases that I use on my Leica 
cameras. Exquisitely designed, small, very unobtrusive.
