It's getting weird out there.

On Nov. 2nd I took some shots of the crowds voting, when some woman
jumped down
my throat telling me I needed to ask every person in line for
permission to take their picture,
because they may be a member of SAG or another guild. I tried to be
diplomatic and told her that the voting station manager had already
given me permission to shoot and that she was being unreasonable, but
in response she became very aggressive. So, we went tot he manager and
he told her to never again try to overrule him and that was that.

Then today I was up at the Getty Center. They had some kind of
activities day going on and a bunch of kids were making paper masks.
Two other photographers and myself stopped to take a
few shots and this lady came out of no where screaming at us that
unless it was our child, we couldn't take pictures. She grabbed the
lens on my M7 and got right in my face. I didn't want to get in an
argument with her in the middle of the museum, so I let it go and
stopped shooting.

That's the tip of the iceberg. Everyone here in the States is so
paranoid and litigious it's becoming impossible to shoot anything but
peeling paint.
