Depends on how much you can afford. A clean M4 is not cheap.
For the same money you can probably pick up a nice M4-P and get
a CLA done on it.

I'm a 35/50/90/135 kind of guy so the M4 is good for me, but the
M4-P has frame lines for 28/35/50/75/90/135. So, keep that in mind
when you pick one.

Also if this is going to be your only M body, why don't you simply go
for an M6 with the built in meter? They are pretty cheap these days.
At least by Leica standards...
